REPID / UNOCHA Partnership for Education Reforms Program – KP/FATA

Rural Empowerment and Institutional Development REPID signed an MOU with United Nations Organization Coordination for Humanitarian Affairs UNOCHA for the Provision of Education facilities to the Internally displaced persons of South Waziristan FATA.

The program will be initiated earlier in January 2014 and will focus on providing education facilities to IDPs of south Waziristan agency.

Project will focus on girls education, primary and higher and will provide opportunity to girls to retain their education. Due to military operation against the militants in KP and FATA, the population is living as IDPs and their children especially girls are not able to continue their education while living in camps and with host families. Therefore, Education Reforms program is initiated to bridge this gap for girls and mobilize them as well as parents to re-continue education for IDPs girls.
