It is a human condition and also has a direct relation with environment. If there is poverty and illiteracy in the country then it will be a hurdle in the way of sustainable development. If people of a country are poor, they will not be well aware. Always, people who are well-off they are also well aware. Pakistan is the sixth largest populous country of the world and according to the State Bank of Pakistan in its 2009 annual report of economy, 62 million population of Pakistan was fallen below poverty line. After poverty the second largest hurdle in the way of sustainable development in Pakistan is unrest from which people are suffering since very long. Continuous deteriorating law and order situation across the country especially in FATA, Karachi, areas from Baluchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Devil forces, terrorists are playing with the lives of the innocent people in these areas.

REPID always promotes people-centered approach for all its developmental projects for socio-economic uplift advocating the empowerment of people living in poverty through their full participation in all aspects of political, economic and social life, especially in the design and implementation phase that ensure the transparency and also affect the poorest and most vulnerable groups of society.

Aims & Objectives:

REPID seeks to involve the local communities in the development of local level infrastructure which is primarily important for the socio economic development and uplift of the communities.


In this regards REPID encourages the communities to prepare local level development projects and plans for development of new and strengthening of existing infrastructure with the technical support of REPID team. The communities are encourages to collect local level contribution for the certain community share of project cost as to ensure their ownership in the project which remaining cost is made available through grants from the donors or local governments which the sustainability of projects.


REPID has constituted small community based organizations in FATA & Khyber Pakhtunkhwa comprising members from elders and local steak holders which is contributing continuously and smoothly in many important decisions for not only infra structure development but other social & cultural aspects.

REPID has also provided small grants and assets to the poor community for improving the local community pocket income.
